I am a Registered Nurse with over two decades of experience in cardiology, education, and community care. As the founder and Managing Director of StellarCare NW, I have successfully developed and scaled a nurse-led home care agency that delivers over 2,000 hours of care per week across Cheshire and the Wirral. Our model blends clinical expertise with frontline care delivery, enabling clients to remain safely at home while reducing unnecessary hospital admissions.
I served as a Junior Sister in cardiology and later as a Senior Lecturer in Nursing, where I introduced simulation technology to enhance clinical training and presented internationally on innovation in healthcare education.
After founding StellarCare NW in 2018, I secured CQC registration for Personal Care and Treatment of Disease, Disorder, and Injury (TDDI). We achieved a ‘Good’ rating across all domains and are PAMMS-accredited.
I introduced a blended workforce model, upskilling care workers with clinical competencies under nurse supervision, supported by a dedicated in-house training team. Our train-the-trainer model, field-based competency checks, and online learning systems ensure quality and compliance.
Our workforce is predominantly international, with a 70%+ staff retention rate. We embrace diversity through EDI training and supportive HR practices. I’m also leading the development of a tech-enabled home care model, combining 24/7 monitoring, emergency response, and virtual GP access to keep people safe at home.
I hold leadership roles as a Championing Social Care Ambassador, Board Director of Partners in Care, and Co-chair of the Cheshire West & Chester Provider Forum, contributing to system-wide improvements in community care.
